How to Tie Your AURA & BEAD Waistbeads

At AURA & BEAD, our waistbeads are designed as tie-on adornments — non-removable by design. Each knot is a commitment to your self-love journey. You'll need:

Your AURA & BEAD Strand

Sharp Scissors

Lighter or Nail Glue (optional for sealing)

1. Release the keeper

Pull the black thread end to undo the slip knot. Your strand is now open.

2. Position like a belt

Wrap the strand behind your back. Bring both ends to meet at your front.

3. Find your placement

Slide the strand to your chosen spot — high waist, low waist, or hips. Cross one side over the other until it feels snug but breathable. You should be able to fit 1-2 fingers underneath.

4. Close the gaps

Push all beads to the center. No spaces between beads. Gaps = Friction = Breakage.

5. First knot = point of no return

Move excess beads to the thread ends. Tie your first knot at your chosen placement. Once this knot is set, placement is final.

6. Lock it in

Tie a second knot directly on top. Pull tight to close any remaining gaps between beads.

7. Build the foundation

Tie 1-2 more knots. I personally tie 4 total — representing a strong foundation. More knots = more security.

8. Trim the excess

Cut the extra thread and beads, leaving 2-3mm of thread past your final knot. Stop here if you’re skipping sealant.

9. Seal your vow (optional) Choose one method:

•Lighter — Carefully melt the 2-3mm thread ends, then roll between your fingers to form a small sealed ball. Work in a ventilated area. Keep flame away from beads.

•Nail Glue — Place one tiny drop on the knot. Roll between fingers to seal. Let dry for 60 seconds.

Your adornment is now part of you.
